THE WAY I USED TO BE af Amber Smith (Danish review)

* Lad mig starte med at sige, at "The Way I Used To Be" af Amber Smith er en helt igennem fantastisk roman. Den var så gennemtænkt, realistisk og tankevækkende. Jeg var ærligtalt overvældet over, hvor god denne roman er. Den fangede mig dybt seriøst. I have been waiting to read this book for a while and I finally got my hands on it this October when I went to Canada. Before even reading it I knew I would love it because Jenny Han has never ever disappointed me. I love her as an author. Han just has an amazing way of writing these incredible stories that impact people and go straight to the heart. She's just so incredible and so are her stories! "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" is about Lara Jean Covey. She writes love letters to all the boys she's ever loved. 5 guys in total. Her intention is not for the boys to read these letters. They are for herself. It's her way of getting over someone. So she keeps these letters in a hat box, her deceased mother gave her. Although one day, the hat box is gone and so are the love letters. Mysteriously, they have been sent out to all the boys Lara Jean has ever loved. Now this is when the chaos begins.  First of all, this novel was not what I expected. I wa...

Fei lives in a village on top of a big mountain. She is deaf. In fact no one in her village is able to hear anything and it has been like that for years. The society is divided into different classes; the artists, the miners and the homeless. The entire village is bound by this traditional system and no one dare change it. The survival of the village lies in the hands of the township beneath the mountain. In exchange for metals from the mines, the people of the village get food and other materials that they cannot produce themselves because of the infertile land. No one can actually leave the village because of an avalanche that managed to block the only safe way to get down the mountain years ago. One day Fei hears a sound. Her hearing has returned. It's a miracle and things start to change for her. Crisis breaks out in the village when the shipment of food stops coming. Fei and her childhood friend, Li Wei, start to question the system and embark on a great adventure down the ...
